You will be surprised how good this cafe is.
Takeshita Street can get absolutely packed with people on the weekends, and you will probably be exhausted from trying to navigate the crowds with your children and stroller.
But don’t despair!
Simply go into Noa cafe on the corner (near the Harajuku Station entrance to Takeshita Street) which boasts it is the oldest cafe in Harajuku, and you can completely relax with fantastic sandwiches, delicious tea, beer, coffee, and ice-cream desserts.
To be honest, I have been going to this cafe for years and I am always pleasantly surprised at how good it is. I think it’s because it is in such a touristy street, that I somehow expect it to just be quick fast food.
But this is far from the truth!
In my opinion it is excellent quality, beautiful fresh bread and sandwiches, and one of the nicest teas I have ever had.
Sometimes you have to queue to get a seat (I queued 20min last weekend, but as soon as we sat down the service was very quick). It is well worth the wait.
Make sure you pop into this cafe if you need a break from sightseeing in Takeshita Street! 🙂
