Event 27 August – Matcha Tea Lesson at Lupicia, Jiyugaoka

Hi Everyone!

I am thrilled to announce this unique collaboration with Lupicia and Tokyo Urban Baby!

Did you see my recent post about the matcha tea lesson at Lupicia tea shop?

Lupicia asked me if I would like to do a collaboration, and I said yes!

So we decided to hold a special event on 27th August exclusively for 8 readers of Tokyo Urban Baby.

This is a very unique lesson in a relaxed atmosphere and there are only 8 seats available – so make sure you quickly apply to join!

I will also be there to welcome you and help with the matcha tea lesson, and answer any questions you have about traveling in Tokyo with your baby!

This will be a unique event with a special explanation about the health and beauty benefits of matcha, as well as personal instruction about how to make 3 types of matcha.

Please note this event is designed for mums to relax and enjoy learning about how to make matcha. It is a little different from my previous events, as this one is best enjoyed with your girlfriends 😉 So make sure you ask your husband to look after your baby so you can come and relax with us and have some “me-time”!

*Note: if you are breastfeeding, please note that Matcha contains caffeine.

Here are some photos of me making matcha at home after participating in the Lupicia matcha tea lesson. I always thought making matcha is difficult, however after I joined the lesson I realized it is really very easy to make once your learn the technique. And it is a lot of fun!

Making matcha really beautiful. It is a great tea to make for yourself at home or when your friends come over to visit.

I highly recommend getting a special matcha whisk, which makes it so much more fun and connects with the traditional way of making matcha

It is quite a technique to know how to hold the matcha whisk. The instructor in the Lupicia lesson will show you how!
