This is one of those secret places in Tokyo that you never know about until someone tells you!
The Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum is the former residence of a prince, located just 5min walk from Meguro Station and hidden behind trees and a long winding driveway.
“Teien” means Japanese garden, but it feels more western-style as it has a huge beautiful grassy lawn for kids to run around on.
The museum has everything you need to take a break in the city – beautiful gardens, architecture, quiet art museum, gift shop and cafe.
Make sure you visit on your next trip in Tokyo city!
