    Chantal,great video!
However, I’d like to stress to everyone to refrain from using mobiles in the courtesy section. This can bother some passengers too.

In addition to posing a possible risk to pace makers,I believe the increased use of mobile electronic devices has decreased people’s ability to communicate with others, causing an indirect effect on things like simple manners, like offering a seat on the train.

It’s not the only reason, but face-to-face communication has definitely suffered with the advancement of smart phones and emails.

Hope you don’t mind, but I included a link to this post on the blog for our friends and family. Just wanted to let you know in case it’s a problem.

Where do you get a pregnancy badge?

    1. Kate says:

Hi Janelle, you can get a pregnancy badge from any train station in Tokyo. If you ask the station staff at one of the major train stations (the office at the ticket gates), they will be able to give you one. x Kate

Great video. Nothing works! They just don’t give up their seats for anyone!

    1. Kate says:

Hi Claire! Yes it is crazy. Even when I was 40 weeks pregnant and huge, people pretended to be asleep and didn’t get up. So strange! Please make sure you speak up and get people to stand up. I always make it my mission now to help other pregnant mums politely waiting for a seat – I find the youngest person and order them to vacate their seat 😉
