Details:
- Online Shop: Our online shop will be officially open on Wed 26th Sep – we will announce the URL at the Launch Party!
- Online Shop Products: The Online Shop will be selling stylish clothing and accessories perfect for mum and baby:) We will be starting with two gorgeous brands: House of Wandering Silk – Scarves and Baby Blankets, and Organics for Kids – 100% Organic Cotton Baby Clothing. Product details including photo shoots, videos and an exclusive interview with Tokyo Urban Baby model Carmela Fleury to be released this week!
- Chano-ma: This is one of our favourite baby-friendly restaurants in Tokyo! Chano-ma is popularly known for its long white couches, fluffy cushions, and sunny relaxed atmosphere. The cafe caters especially for mums and babies during the daytime, with a delicious healthy lunch menu, baby nursing rooms available, and a no smoking policy.
- Address: Chano-ma, 2F Za House Building, 1-34-17 Ebisu-Nishi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo
- How to get there: Click here to see our previous post on Chano-ma including photos, videos and map on how to get there. It is located just a 1 min walk from Daikanyama Station – take the west exit, turn left at Mermaid Cafe, keep walking until you reach the major road and you will see the entrance to Chano-ma on your left.
- Seating: We have reserved the full length of the sofa along the window-side plus tables in the center – in total the reservation can cater for 35 mums with babies. Each table can fit 4-5 mums with babies, so if you would like to reserve a table for you and your friends to enjoy the Launch Party together please let us know!
- Who is invited: Mums and babies, pregnant mummies, dads and children also welcome!:))
- Prams/strollers: Everyone is welcome to bring your pram/stroller. If you have a newborn baby asleep in the pram, you are welcome to keep the pram beside your table or transfer baby to the futon cushions where you are seated. For older babies it would be great if you can fold up your pram and park it on the wall next to the entrance of the restaurant (inside the restaurant).
- Food: A delicious lunch menu will be served including dessert and buffet drinks. If you are vegetarian, have any allergies or have any special requests please let us know.
- Baby food: Chano-ma does not have baby food on the menu, so please remember to bring it with you:)!
- Cost: 2,000yen per person. We are very sorry we can’t pay for everyone – we wish we could!!! Hopefully you can still come and enjoy the Launch Party as a day out with your friends:)!! There will be Fashion Shows, Giveaway Prizes, Gift Bags, and much much more! We promise you will all have so much fun!!!
- How to buy a ticket: Please RSVP to us at shop@tokyourbanbaby.com and we will send you the details for bank transfer. We are asking everyone to kindly pay the cost of lunch in advance, to make it easier to manage the large booking and for safety to avoid handling cash on the day. This will also help us to be as organised as possible so we can enjoy every minute of the Launch Party with you all!! Thanks in advance for your understanding!!!
- RSVP: Please email us at shop@tokyourbanbaby.com to make your reservation. Please tell us your name and your baby’s name, number of guests, any lunch menu preferences, and seating preferences (please let us know your friends names for group bookings). As stated above, we will send you a confirmation email and details for how to buy your ticket:)
- Cancellation: If you need to cancel your ticket, please notify us as soon as possible. We can fully reimburse your ticket up to 24 hours before the Launch Party (ie. if you notify us by 11am on Tues 25th Sep your ticket will be reimbursed). As the Launch Party is a large booking, please kindly understand same day cancellations will not accepted.
Launch Party Schedule:
- The Launch Party will start at 11am. Chano-ma actually opens at 11am, so if you arrive early please kindly wait at the entrance for the doors to open (we will be there to greet you), or if you arrive super early I highly recommend a cup of tea and the delicious muffins at Mermaid Cafe on the corner as you walk from Daikanyama Station:)! Starbucks at Daikanyama T-site is also open from 7am, which has a lovely private nursing room and baby change table – see previous post here for details!
- When doors open, we will greet guests as they arrive and show you to your table. Please help yourself to a refreshment from the buffet drinks table.
- Once everyone settles in we will have a welcome speech, and then Tomoko and I will come to each table to chat with you all and introduce our online shop and products. We will also have a cute Fashion Show to introduce House of Wandering Silk scarves and Organics for Kids baby clothing!
- While Tomoko and I are chatting with each table, please feel free to relax and catch up with your friends, meet new mummies and their babies, and enjoy your lunch and buffet drinks!
- A Fantastic Lucky Door Prize will be held after lunch with Giveaway Prizes from the Tokyo Urban Baby Online Shop and the Launch Party Sponsors!!!
- The Launch Party will close at 1pm. Guests will receive a special Gift Bag to take home with surprise goodies inside and we will look forward to seeing you on the online shop!
