Here is another wonderful baby-friendly cafe in Tokyo! This one is just a short walk from Kanamecho Station, which is one stop from Ikebukuro on the Fukutoshin-Line. The name ‘Oyako Cafe’ literally means ‘parents and children cafe’ in Japanese. It is located on the 2nd floor of what looks like a regular apartment building, but when you step inside you enter a world full of toys, yummy homemade food, and an environment that is safe and well-designed so that both parents and kids can relax and enjoy. The play area has a half-glass wall and a child-proof gate, and all the toys are suitable from 0-6 years old. I even inspected the toys to make sure they were safe for my 8 month old son, but was reassured when I couldn’t find any toy parts small enough that he could swallow. Also in the dining area, all the power-points had safety covers on them, so parents could eat their lunch in peace. Highly recommend booking a table for lunch with your friends and babies if you live in the area! A big thank you Junko for inviting us and making the reservation!!! We had a wonderful time!!!
